Want to know when groups, workshops, and events are happening?
Kristin and Sam are AuDHD (ADHD/Autistic) adults. Maybe similar to you, we both discovered our neurodivergence in adulthood, which profoundly impacted how we understood ourselves and our personal histories. As we met and shared our experience of late discovery with each other, we realized our stories were unique- but our experiences navigating the emotional landscape of this discovery had similarities.
Namely- we both felt a load of relief once we had words to name the preverbal wall we kept running into throughout our lives. And we experienced compounding grief that we had navigated much of our lives without language for our suffering.
Kristin and Sam each found that navigating these waves of grief and relief was easier with a supportive community around them. As therapists who specialize working with late discovered AuDHD adults, we found many clients we sat with felt all alone in their discovery process. We wanted to create a place of community where late discovered adults could sigh a breath of relief and know they're not the only one who feels this way.
At Griefandrelief.org, we aim to offer that support through our groups and events, helping neurodivergent adults feel less alone as they navigate their own journeys toward self-acceptance and growth.
